HYOSUNG GV250 AND GV650 TO BE LAUNCHED IN INDIA BY 2013

DSK MotoWheels-Hyosung is planning to expand its portfolio in India. In last few years, Indian market has become a suitable place for premium cruiser and therefore the upcoming bikes will be cruisers; Hyosung GV250 and GV650. The prices haven't been announced yet, but these two will be positioned under the current flagship Hyosung ST7 cruiser in terms of price and positioning.

The Hyosung GV250 and GV650 will come as Completely Knocked Down units and will be assembled in India, at Hyosung's centre of art at Wai, Maharashtra. The Hyosung GV650 will see a launch in January 2013, following by the GV250, which will be launched a little later, in March 2013. Apart from these bike DSK-Hyosung is also planning to launch a 2013 version of Hyosung GT650R sportsbike in India. Hyosung hasn't have a brand name like Harley Davidson for sure, therefore they have to develop a brand name first. That will be a tough task for them, Harley is their only competitor as well as HD is the only brand, which has a wide line up of CKD assembled cruisers in the country. Honda and Suzuki do offer a couple of cruisers, but they are being imported in the country. And using CKD assembly will be a beneficiary step for Hyosung, as it is the only way through which premium motorcycles can be priced affordable.
